Molecular Biology Laboratory

Molecular Biology Laboratory

Molecular Biology Laboratory is established at the Department of Animal Reproduction.

The laboratory is well-established and well-equipped at NCLBGG, National Centre for Livestock Breeding, Genetics & Genomics, Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam.

The laboratory was established in 2021 and since its establishment, it has been fully functional.

Experiments involving basic molecular biological techniques are routinely carried out on a daily basis.

The laboratory provides core molecular biology infrastructure for routine experimental and research work.

DNA/RNA Extraction Room

Clean and contamination-free room is available for DNA and RNA extraction work.

PCR Room

Separate PCR room is available with a separate area to prevent contamination.

Gel Electrophoresis

Gel electrophoresis and imaging section is available for molecular analysis and result visualization.

Sample Storage

Sample storage facilities are available with deep freezers at −20°C, −40°C and cryo tanks with liquid nitrogen.

Basic molecular biological techniques are carried out routinely in the laboratory.
