Information Technology Centre was established in 2002 to impart degree programs, PG Diploma, short-term diploma and short courses of varying duration to the students of the University in particular and to the youth of Sindh in general.
The centre provides computing, internet and intranet facilities to faculty members, students and especially postgraduate students for academic, research and literature search purposes.
The Higher Education Commission has provided internet connectivity to the University under Pakistan Educational and Research Network. The University also maintains its own website where information regarding the University is displayed.
Internet access is provided to students, researchers and faculty members for educational and research purposes.
Faculties, departments, library, administration and DASR are connected through the University intranet system.
Data analysis support is available for postgraduate students and faculty members involved in research activities.
Email facility is available for students and faculty members of the University.
Under the mega project, “Computerization and Networking Enhancement Project of SAU”, all faculties, departments, library, administration, Directorate of Advanced Studies and Research have been interconnected through intranet and integrated with the existing internet facility at the Information Technology Centre.
